Our Christmas Surprise!

We have a very special Christmas SURPRISE to share with everyone this year...

We are having a BABY GIRL!!

I am due June 13th, and Jaxson is so excited to be a big brother :)

In July we went, and went, and went! We were never home! We had an amazing week and a half at the Gorge, a weekend at Bear Lake (which ended up quite dramatic and scary), and we also got our first camp trailer! Tyler's biological dad, Donald, gave us his older camp trailer. It was……disgusting! But for free, I knew I could fix it all up nice! My mom and I began scrubbing at 6 am, and cleaned our guts out ALL DAY! We then spent a whole other day refinishing the cushions. We bought cute fabric, and reupholstered the entire trailer! Then my sister gave us some extra wood flooring she had and some paint, and we laid wood floor and painted the inside! We even bought a brand new toilet J It's SMALL, but so cute and FUN! All the after pics are on my mom's computer so I will post them later...

As for the Bear Lake trip, we had a fabulous weekend with Tyler's family, and were just getting ready to head home, but went back in to the cabin to say goodbye. As we were talking with everybody Jax started crying and acted like he had hurt his finger and came running towards me. I could tell that it hurt really bad and that he was going to hold his breath. The breath holding thing was his new development over the course of the summer, and he would make himself back out……so I grabbed him and tried blowing in his mouth to get him to breathe, and he didn't…..and finally passed out. As he passed out, and as myself and my mother-in-law start freaking out, he began convulsing like a seizure. After what seemed like an eternity of watching my baby boy with his eyes rolled back into his head, his lips purple, and his little body convulsing, he went completely limp. At this time pure panic set in by everyone. He still had not taken a breath, so we laid him on the floor with the intentions of starting CPR. Before we began Uncle Ben gave him a blessing while Grandpa Boyd was prepping for CPR. By the end of the blessing he wheezed a small breath. The greatest sound I have ever heard in my entire life! After his small breath he started moving and taking more breathes, but was completely delusional. He couldn’t hold his head up, was still limp, but was also trying to raise his arms. He would be sound asleep one second, and then crying the next. Something wasn't right, and we were still so scared. The ambulance had been called long before the blessing, so now it was just a waiting game. The ambulances come clear from Montpelier, and it felt like an eternity for them to get there. When they got there, I rode with Jax in the ambulance, and Tyler drove our car over. While in the ambulance Jax was completely out. He literally could not even open eyes or lift a finger he was so weak. It broke my heart! On our ride, I called Steph, because she only lives half hour from Montpelier, and asked her to meet me at the hospital because I was so scared! After a long ER trip, lots of tears, lots of nurses, and an interesting MRI scan of the brain, the doctor pretty much told us the seizure was a fluke. One of the scariest moments of my life, and all they tell me was "who knows"! Talk about frustration. That night, we drove all the way to Evanston, and didn't get there till about 1:30. We had Jax sleep with us because we were too scared not to have him right next to us, and woke up early the next morning and called Dr. DaPalma. She got us right in, and as soon as I told her everything that went on she knew exactly what happened. They are called crying spells. Apparently it is very common. When a child holds their breath long enough to pass out, they will often times seize. It looks like a real seizure, but does not affect the brain like a real seizure does, it is just the body reacting to being low on oxygen. She also assured us that it will probably happen again, and that although it looks as though they are not breathing while convulsing, they do. So we are just supposed to lay him flat on the ground and watch it happen! She also said that it completely exhausts their bodies when it happens, so the sleeping and lethargic actions are also completely fine and normal.

With all this, we just hope it never happens again! It was absolutely traumatizing! I still have nightmares… but we are so glad that what happened is normal and does not harm him and that he is still healthy!

Well, we moved home! YAY! I really do quite enjoy living at home in the summer, especially with Jaxson! When we moved we decided that since his life was getting a little shock by moving, why not shock him good and move him into a toddler bed. I was so nervous, thinking of all the naughty things he could now easy do! But…..the first night he crawled in, didn't cry, and a little while later I went to check and he was sound asleep! Then I continued to think, oh the naughtiness will come eventually….and he still has never gotten out and gotten into anything! It was so easy!

As for Tyler and I, we took a vacation with our close friends Bridget and Kaleb to…..VEGAS! We went for quite a few days, and had such a great time! I cried leaving Jax, of course, but it so nice to get out just the two of us! We figured we pretty much deserved it after sooooo many years of school!

APRIL

Tyler and I were still as boring as the last month, sewing and student teaching, as well as job hunting! We did get a bit of excitement, by chaperoning the Prom at Whiting. It was so fun! We got a date out, got a delicious dinner, and refreshed ourselves of how glad we were to be out of High School! And I began running! Yes that’s right, I am not a runner! But I am determined to make myself!

Jaxson on the other hand was getting so big! He is such a smart and fun, and by fun I mean completely and utterly WILD little boy to be around! Other than being wild, he started to grow out of his cowboy boot obsession, and into wanting to help mommy with EVERYTHING! Especially cooking! He also decided that saying "cheeeeeeese" to the camera is super fun!

And as for Trixie, she is still naughty, and very much a hyper puppy!

I am SO far behind on my blog! I have had no desire to update….and today I sorta feel the need to "journal". So, I am going to start up where I left off, which is March! I have been writing small things down so hopefully I got most of the good stuff!

And as for Jaxson, he was of course a wild man! This month he was absolutely OBSESSED with his cowboy boots, and being naked! So 90% of the time, he was "wearing" both, cowboy boots and his birthday suit! Quite a site!

My last post was dedicated to February....where I left out a few other fun and exciting things!

Tyler celebrated his 24th birthday! WHOA! He is getting old! We didnt do much, but we did get a babysitter and go out to dinner! It was fabulous to not have Jax screaming and throwing food everywhere! Tyler didn't get a single present from me on his actual birthday becuase....he got a new snow machine a week before! He was so excited and only got to ride it one time before it broke down :( Bummer....he is so bummed out. Now its gonna cost a bunch to fix it and he is done for the season....just our luck!

Also, it was Valentines Day! This year, rather than fluffy lovey dovey presents, we got a puppy! YAY! As most of you know, I love Shih Tzu's! My parents and I got one when I was a Junior, then they got her another one for a friend when I left to college so she wasn't lonely....and I absolutly love them to death! My mom heard of a family in Lyman selling 6 of them and I had to see them! By the time I got there there was only 1 girl left, and I wanted a girl! She was adorable! A few days later I was trying to talk Ty into the idea of getting her and took him to see her. Her hair had bursted and at that point she was really really cute! After seeing her, he melted pretty fast to her charm and decided we could get her! YAY! We had to leaver her for 2 weeks, and she was ready to go the weekend of Valentines week! She is a great puppy! She doesn't cry hardly at all at night, only when she has to go potty, and I can count on 1 hand the accidents she has had in a whole week! This is my sweet Trixie!

January 2011

January....well what to say about January. First of all Uncle Ben FINALLY got home from his mission! Jax and I headed home for the week so that we could go to the airport with the family. It was so fun! Jax and Uncle Ben had never met before so it was pretty special! He was not real sure of him at first, but slowly warmed up!

The same weekend Ben came home, Tyler had the opportunity to baptize his little brother Nick. During the baptism, Jax was quite jealous that Daddy was "baff"ing with Uncle Nick. He even tried to climb over the barrier and get in....where I stopped him and picked him up....and where we had a complete and utter melt down and had to leave the room, missing the whole thing! Darn 18mos olds!

And these pictures of my sweet little guy! He is so full of energy these days! WHEW! He loves to "cheeeeese" for the camera or phone anytime he sees one, and this 1st pic is the result of that! Such a nerd! Also note his adorable Valentines outfit from Aunt Amy. What a stud right?!?!

I am so behind on blogging! So here I go on some major catch-up....I decided the best way to do this was to just go through the months!

December:
Jax played in the snow lots at Grandma and Papas, and helped Daddy plow the snow on the 4-wheeler. He loved the snow! He then got to play even more with Uncle Nick in the snow!

On the eve of Christmas Eve, Jax got to participate in Grandma's Annual Sleepover, which I personally feel should be called Aunt Cami's sleepover considering she ships them all downstairs with me and doesn't hear a peep all night from them. And, I assure you there are giggles and whispers and "potty" breaks ALL NIGHT! We usually watch movies, then "sleep", then in the morning do a craft. Oh the craft....where to begin....its a big pain in the butt! We always choose something that requires paint and hot glue, and that combo along with 10 children under the age of 14 is a disaster area! All in all, we survived yet another Grandma's Sleepover this year!

We had a great Christmas! Jaxson got spoiled, as usual, and loved opening all the presents! Santa visited him and brought him lots, as well as his Grandparents!

#1 Jaxson is utterly absolutely and completely obsessed with Buzz LightYear. We have to sleep with a Buzz stuffed animal, we have to watch a Buzz movie at minimum of once a day, and we LOVE wearing Buzz jammies we got for Christmas. Anytime we go to Wal-Mart he asks for Buzz, just so we can walk by the Toy Story isle and look at the Buzz's. Boy am I sick and tired of Toy Story1, and 3! We currently don't have 2, but I am sure we will soon because if I have to watch the other two again I am going to scream!
#2 His Papa! Oh boy has he been obsessed with his Papa (my dad). Anytime he sees a phone or a man with a mustache, he freaks out screaming Papa! We used to be able to distract him away from the phone, so we didn’t have to call but that no longer works. He doesn’t forget! So….we have called Papa LOT'S lately! Sometimes even if Papa is at work we still have to call and listen to his voicemail, and that usually holds him over thinking he talked to Papa! Then once he is on the phone with Papa, he just sits there and listens and grins from ear to ear! Doesn’t hardly say a word, but is so pleased with every conversation!
#3 Tag….you all may be thinking…Tag??? What does that mean. Well that would be what Jax calls his favorite blanket. He does not like it for the blanket part, but he looooves the tag attached to the blanket. he rubs it, sucks on it, and just holds it most of the time. Such a weirdo!

Other Stuff:
We switched schedules, and Jax is only taking one nap now! yay! He has been ready for a long time, but I wasn't ready! I finally gave in, we had a few grumpy mornings without nap, and taa-daa!

He tells us now when he goes poop, but not until after he goes! We try to go to the potty as soon as he tells us, but we miss it every time!
We started nursery a month early, thinking he would love it….WRONG! We have church at 11 now, so its during lunch, and then during nap time. Oh boy! He did good last week after Tyler went with him for a while, and then left the last half hour. So hopefully next week will be an even bigger improvement!

And...as of this morning he can officially escape from his crib....ahhhh!
Overall, Jax is an amazing little boy! I am loving every minute of being a stay at home mom, and couldn't love him anymore than I do! He is so special to me, and such a joy to be around all day!

He is quite a stinker when you get the camera out, but we did get some pretty cute pics! I just cannot believe how big Jax has gotten, and that he is already 14.5 mos old! WHOA!

I just have to brag about my little man...and his walking! Yes that's right, he was an absolute maniac today on his feet. Every time I turned around he was waddling his cute little behind somewhere. He is slow and quite clumsy, but he gets where he wants when HE wants :) To go with his stubborn personality, walking is usually only when its his idea, and usually when we don't want him to! I think its official to say we have a walker on our hands :)

Jax also had a 2nd Birthday party with his cousins Boston and Branson. My sister Amy was in charge of the whole shin-dig, so of course it was Dr. Suessed out to the extreme! We had Thing 1, Thing 2, and Dr. Suess. We also had three 1yr olds on 4-wheelers, a bath full of pink water, and red and blue trinkets everywhere! It was also a FABULOUS party :)

My baby turned 1! Can you even believe it!!! I can't. It was such a great and yet sad moment for me to now that Jax is growing up so fast! We were at Tyler's family reunion up in the mountains on Jax's actual birthday, which resulted in him getting very spoiled! Aunt Jeana planned a whole day of Birthday extravaganzas for everyone, got Jax a special cake, and got a ton of decorations! It was all FABULOUS!

He loved ripping his presents open, loved eating his cake, and especially loved all the attention he got :)

It is not letting me reorder the pictures so they are sort of jumbled! Oh well, you get the idea :)

Some of you may remember a post I did in March, about a cute little tooth Jax had gotten...well about two days after he got it, it disappeared! We have not seen it since, and started getting antsy for him to get his "real" 1st tooth. Well, yesterday afternoon we finally saw a tooth! YAY! We have a tooth before his 1st birthday :)

Just another little update, Jax is starting to attempt to walk! He will walk 4 or 5 step between Tyler and I each time we try. It is so adorable! After each time, he turns and looks at us and claps!

We have also officially weaned him off of formula and on to milk....and now on to the bottle! He only has it twice a day, but not for long! I hate bottles, especially where he is almost a year, and looks much older than that!

He is also a chatterbox! He can say so many words now, and also does quite a few signs! He can say the usual mom (bob), dad, hi, bye bye. Also Papa, pop, uh oh, cuu cuu (yucky), cookie, key ku (thank you), OK!, no, go, getchyou (get you!), and weeee! He can sign please, all done, cookie, and more.

Jax will be one on Saturday, and I literally cannot even believe it! It seems like yesterday I was holding him in my arms for the first time. Mommy loves you SOOO much Jaxson Joe!

Jaxson's Grandma Bobbi was here for a week, helping babysit while I did my internship, and....her being a hair cutting lady we had to get rid of all his really LONG stragglers!

Update #3: Body Works

A LONG LONG time ago we headed to Denver to go to the Body Works display at one of the Museums. I was kinda nervous before we got there hoping it wouldn't creep me out, but it was AMAZING! We wanted to go last summer when it was in Salt Lake, but being severely pregnant we never ended up going! Sadly enough, it was a long time to get through the exhibit, where there was not re-entering....which turns out to be quite difficult when you have a baby who wants lunch, then a bottle, then a nap, and poops! Plus no food or drink of any kind was allowed inside....uggh! It was a rough hour or so, but we made it through! I only got creeped out, and a little teary eyed at the fetus section, but that was it!

The museum it was in, was quite a boring one if I do say so myself...but Tyler and Jax enjoyed its boringness I guess! They both loved the dinosaurs....

Just a quick update on how we are doing! Its about time huh...I feel like such a slacker with my lately, but it feels like there is just no time in the day to sit down and write all of the amazing things that are happening in our life, and how happy we are! So here it goes, I will try to completely update everyone on everything!

TYLER

Tyler has started summer school, for a few weeks now, and is getting master credits and credits towards his teaching certificate. He is, much to my surprise, really enjoying them. He has officially switched over from boring "science" thinking, to thinking like a "teacher"! Yay! He also got his placing a while ago for his student teaching, which he will start in spring semester at the Alternative high school here in Laramie. He was unsure of what to think at first, but after meeting with one of the classes and his mentor teacher he is not nervous anymore, but more excited to get started!

On another happy note, he is fully enjoying being "dadadada". Him and Jax roll around on the floor, make funny faces at each other, and just have a blast together when Ty is home. Its so amazing to me, as a "softy" momma, to sit back and watch their relationship grow!

MYSELF

As far as what has been going on with me....well lots! I am at home all day with Jax for now! Which I thoroughly enjoy 100%. I love every second we get to spend together, and watching him accomplish everything he does! He such a blessing in my life! I am also babysitting a 3 mos baby girl two days of the week. And boy has that been interesting! Jax absolutely hates it when she is here! He slaps her and giggles, pulls her hair and giggles, and fake cries and screams when I even touch her! What a little stinker....

I will be starting my internship in a preschool class next week, and am so nervous! I can't hardly think about leaving Jax for more than an hour a day as it is, and when I start I will be away from him from 7 to 1!! tear... Hopefully I can do it! On a happy note, I am also excited to get in a preschool, and see how things are actually done! The anticipation of starting my own preschool is literally killing me, and I can't wait till we are settled and I can get going with it!

On a crappy note, my back has been giving me so many problems! I hurt it shoveling some ice a couple months ago, and it brought back all the pain I had in high school, plus some! I have been seeing an orthopedic surgeon, and after x-rays and a MRI, I have a bulge in one of my lower lumber discs, arthritis all around that, plus my scoliosis. He then sent me to physical therapy...which only made my pain worse! Bummer.....so last week I had to go in and have an injection done into the area around that disc to try to get the inflammation down and give me some relief. Well let me tell you....IT SUCKED! I was in so much pain all day I could hardly function. Plus they gave me some relaxation goofy medicine through my IV, and wow did it make me loopy! I am feeling a little better now, but still not what I had hoped for.

I also got called as the Young Women's 1st counselor a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't be more excited! We have a very small young women's, so it will be so fun to get to know each and every one of the girls!

JAXSON

Where to ever start here! He is absolutely the most spunky, determined, stubborn, happy, and cute little guy EVER!!! He is almost 10 months ( of which nearly brings me to tears at the thought that he is not longer my little newborn baby!) and has grown and learned so much lately! He shakes his head no at everything, literally everything. As we have our conversations throughout the days, his responses are always no to me! What a stinker....no matter what kind of question you ask him he shakes his head no!

He has recently caught on to a few signs ( i sort of forgot to use any for like 4 months! oops), and can successfully (well sort of!) tell me when he is "all done" and when he wants "more". For all done, he sort of shakes his hands all over the place, out to the side, and about his head, but I get the point! And for more he sort of claps, but a very small quiet clap! He also has learned "pat-a-cake", and claps his hands very loudly all the way through and then throws his arms in the air at the end! Then usually with his hands in the air, he forgets what he is doing and wants a high five! He has started saying baa baa for his bottle, uh oh when he drops things, and bckkk for bite when we are eating! He is getting so smart!

He is the army crawling KING I tell you. The kid can be across the living room, into the kitchen in a matter of no time! He is also pulling himself up on stuff now too! This little adventure, then leads to walking around things and across them, and then ALWAYS ends in a crash to the floor and a bonk of the head! At this point we get his frustrated grunts and groans, and of course his fake crying till we weasel him out of the little spot he "walked" himself into and until he get up standing again!

And as of last week, he finally has stopped shaking his no at me when I ask him to say "momma". He can officially say it, but doesn't really care for it unless he is super frustrated with something, or unless nobody is giving him ANY attention, then of course he belts it out at the top of his lungs "MMMOOOMMMA", one time, and one time only!

He has caught on to the fact that if we are in his room closing the blinds, and getting ready for nap time, he can lay his head down on your shoulder and snuggle, and he will be saved from the nap for a few minutes! So cute, especially for Jax because he has never ever been a snuggler! He also begins humming at this point, wanting me to sing to him. He hates to be held, especially close! So this is such a nice little treat!

9 Months!

We went for Jax's 9 month checkup yesterday, and yes, the kid is still a GIANT! He is well above the average in height, making him 32 inches and the size of a 16 month old! His weight was also great for him, in the 70 percentile! We have never been that high for weight, so we were ecstatic!

Jax is such a sweet little boy! He is getting so smart. He still says "dadada" over and over. Shakes his head no when you tell him to say " Mamama" :( He mimics us yelling "Ouch!" "Yee-Haw", howling like a dog, and sings along in the car and at church! He also claps his hands, loooves finger foods, and loves to army crawl all over the house and make a disaster! He is full of smiles, giggles, and personality! He is still a toothless little guy, but cute, gums and all!

I cannot believe that he is already 9 months old! Boy how time has flown! We love you Jaxson Joe!

I haven't updated in a while so I thought I would just share with you all how extra cute our little Jax is! He is getting so big, and SO smart! He is still not crawling, even though his dad makes him try, and try, and TRY! He hates to be on his tummy, goes stiff as a board with his arms and legs straight out from his body, and usually ends up getting frustrated quite quickly and yelling at us! So as a result, we have officially stopped trying to make him crawl, going with the idea that he is probably going to walk before crawl! Which brings me to my next cute lil' behavior.

He LOOOOVES to walk. He even sees you enter the room, and hands go straight out to grab your fingers, and off his little feet and legs go! He cruises with them little feet! He has gradually gotten much braver, and will even walk with only holding one hand. He also loves to stand against things and just play! The big sliding door being his #1 favorite! Last night he even walked along the couch!

And now for the cake topper of our past week or so. Jax only still will say "dadada" and he says it over, and over, and OVER! I really want him to say "mamama"....but nope! We tell him "Jax can you say Mamamama?", and he looks at you, shakes his head no very vigorously, and says "dadada", all while smiling! What a little stinker!

Overall we LOVE having Jaxson in our life, and could not ask for a better child to raise. I am so grateful for every moment spent with him, even if it involves getting pooped on, barfed on, baby food spat in my face, or involves smiles, kisses, and snuggles :) We love Jaxson more that anything, and this has been the best 9 months of our life!

Jaxson is 7 months old today! I literally cannot even believe how fast those 7 months have FLOWN by us! He is the cutest little guy ever! On top of being completely hyper and having a very very small attention span ALL the time, he has completely mastered sitting; anywhere, anytime, ALL the time! He now loves to sleep on his tummy, and is completely unswaddled! He loves to stand at the edge of the couch and play with toys on the couch, and would eat baby food all day if I would let him! He can do his sippy cup all by himself, and loves Biter Biscuits, pickles, and Popsicles! When he wants attention he knows to fake cough and we will both come a running, and then he smiles and giggles!

Catch Up #5: Laundry

These pictures are pretty self explanatory, but in case you need some explaining here goes. We don't have our own washer and dryer, but rather get to experience the joys of walking in the bitter cold outside to go to our "community", dirty, crappy laundry room. We then have to pay, and go back and forth a million times to simply do a couple loads of laundry! In the process of me going back and forth, and freezing my butt off, Jax gets quite bored and wants attention (surprise surprise!) That doesn't include the neglect he also feels while I am busy folding the thousands of items in the loads, and then the ironing. So.....this is our solution to keeping mommy sane amidst the insanity I experience doing laundry each week! Did I also mention that each item of wash has to be carried downstairs first off, then back upstairs! 18 lbs of baby plus a whole load of towels! Whew what a workout!

Catch Up #4: Baby Food

Jax has recently started baby food, and is basically a bottomless pit! Eating a whole 2 large cans a day! Plus his 2 large helpings of cereal, and yummy milk! You would never know this, him being such a skinny mini! He has eaten every kind we have tried so far, and hasn't refused any! I do think that sweet potatoes have been the ultimate favorite though!

Holy Smokes, my little guy is already 6 months old! I cannot believe it! We went for his checkup yesterday, and he is 30 inches tall, which I will have you know is the average height of a 12 month old! And he weighed 17lbs. He also got to start baby food, and boy does he LOVE it! All we have had so far is bananas, but they were delicious! He is also sitting now, hates to roll over (either way), loves to jump in his Johnny Jump, and loves to stand up to the couch and play with toys there! He is a very stubborn and independent little thing, but we sure do love him!

We have had a busy past couple of months, if you haven't noticed by the lack of blogging, and a busy week ahead! Tyler's birthday is Thursday, Friday I am having a little surgery done on my toes, and then its Valentines weekend! Hopefully lots of pictures by the end of the week!

Yes, Jax is already 4 months old! I cannot believe it! He has grown so much and has melted my heart a billion times! We just love him so much :) We went to the doctor today and he is 27 inches long, which is in the 98%, and the average size of a 6 month old! He weighed 14 lbs 7oz, which bumps him clear up to the 50%, which is GREAT for him! He is usually under 20%. And as you probably guessed, he HATED his shots, but did pretty well.

Thanksgiving, Cereal, and Great Grandparents!

We had a busy Thanksgiving this year! We headed to Lyman for a day, then Idaho to my sister's house for actual Thanksgiving, then to Lava to the Hot Springs for a day, then to Evanston to Tyler's parents house for two days, then a farewell Sunday, and back to Laramie that night! WHEW! Jax was such a good boy, but by Sunday he wasn't feeling well and had a fever, and had completely had it! I didn't get many pictures, but here is what I have!

Monday night was Jax 1st time with baby cereal! We expected him to make a huge mess, and not like it, and not really get any in his mouth, BUT boy were we wrong! He gagged on the first bite, and then really quite liked it! He would get the spoon in his mouth good, and would swallow most of the cereal! Such a bug boy! (His daddy picked out his bib if you can't tell!)

Over the course of our long weekend, Jax was able to spend time with some of his great grandparent! We are so grateful that he gets to make memories with so many Great's! We are so thankful for all of them!

A few days late...but....

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!

Jax was a little Giraffe as you can see, but didn't really get much of a Halloween. We were at State volleyball all weekend, and didn't home till about 8 or so Halloween night. We went to take him trick or treating to some of our friends in our complex, but..... Nobody was home! He went to one door, and got one piece of candy! Poor lil' thing!

He was not quite sure what the heck to think of this big thing on his head!

Sleep, or sleep deprivation?

Since the day Jaxson was born, he has been a sleeper! We had to set alarms to wake him up each night to eat, or he would just sleep through the entire night! Our pediatrician told us that he was far too little to do such a thing, so we kept waking him up till we had the ok that we didn't have to anymore! After that, he slept great all night for quite a few weeks, then BAM! No more Mr. Nice Guy in the night! He was waking up 2-3 times a night, and it was killing us!

I then started wondering if he was relating our bedroom to somewhere were he always ate, and so he was putting two and two together! He was just waking up, realizing where he was, and wanting to eat all night! So, I talked to my mom and sisters, and they all told us to try him in his own room and see how he does!?! I knew I needed to, but was DREADING it! I hate him not being right at my side! Long story short, he was up all night and we ended up bringing him back into our room and in the cradle. It was so hard going back and forth between the rooms, and was for sure not doing it again the next night! BUT, Tyler then insisted that we need to keep at it or he would get confused.

So, then next night we layed him in his crib and when we went to bed, but I simply couldn't do it! I had a rush of hormones, tears, and separation issues, and he ended up right beside us in his cradle in a matter of minutes! He was still waking up off and on in the night, so I decided I was feeling pretty brave again last night, and just decided that we would all probably sleep better if we carried through with him in his own room!

So 9 o'clock last night we tucked him into his crib, turned on some lullaby's, and let him fall asleep. We then went to bed a few hours later, and I woke up at 7:15 to him giggling in the baby moniter and in his crib! He did so good! He never hardly moved a muscle, and slept ALL night again!

I just have to update! Jaxson is growing so fast! He is getting bigger, longer, chubbier, and so much smarter! It just amazes me each day at what he can accomplish and what he learns! He is so aware of people around him, especially Tyler and I. He knows our voices and he loves it! We will just sit and talk to him for hours on end, and he will try so hard to talk back. He will make silly sounds and smile, and even giggle here and there. It absolutely melts my heart! We will also do silly things with our tongues, and he is starting to attempt to mimic what we do. He even clicked his tongue the other day, pretty sure it was an accident, but we like to think he is a pure baby genius!

We love him so much, and are so grateful Heavenly Father blessed us with such a calm and happy spirited little boy! I am posting a cute little smile so he can melt all of your hearts as well!

Jaxson's Traumatic Week

As many of you have heard we have had one heck of a week. We moved back to Laramie on Thursday afternoon, and it was so hard to leave home and all of our family. I cried all day, all night, and throughout the next few days! Darn hormones! We then proceeded to move all of our baby items into this super small apartment, and it took FOREVER! After everything was all put away and all 3 of us relaxed and adjusting to our new little life together, Jaxson decided to through one heck of a spin on things.

We were just getting ready to change his diaper and feed him right before bedtime. I layed him down on his blanket in our living room, and looked up at his face. He turned extremely red, his hands and arms went up to his chest/face, he started convulsing extremely hard, and foamy substance was coming out of his mouth and nose. I yelled to Tyler that I thought he was having a seizure. Ty thought he was choking, but I knew 100% it was more than simply choking. We grabbed him and turned him on his side and swiped all of the foam out of his mouth, and I immediately called 911. They sent over cops, an ambulance, ans tons of EMT's. When they got here they checked all his vitals and said everything looked alright, but that we should go to the ER. I wrapped him up and rode in the ambulance with him, and Ty met us at the hospital. Once in the ER, he had to be tortured in so many aspects. He had to give 3 viles of blood, do glucose testing, have and x-ray taken, a little pee bag inside of his diaper, and all sorts of things. On top of everything, he had to be naked the whole time, and was freezing. Long story short, the ER doctor told us that his bily-rubin(sp) levels were high, and that caused the seizure, but we should meet with the Pediatrician first thing the next morning.

We came home, and Ty stayed awake holding him all night, just in case it happened again, while I slept for a few hours. We then headed to the pediatrician's office. Once there, he told us that he really felt it was a seizure, but that the ER doctor was completely wrong in what he told us caused it. He also told us that Jaxson needed to have CT Scan of his brain, and a EEG of his brain. At this point, we were both terribly scared and wanted our mommies! So both of them jumped into the car and came that night.

Tuesday, Dr. Kleppinger admitted us to the hospital for the night so that all of the test could be performed. Tyler went with him to do his CT scan, and I got to hold him while they performed the EEG. Overall, I think he was quite traumatized by all the poking, blood taking, and testing, but was such a good baby the whole time.

By Wednesday morning we knew that all the tests were clear, and that Jaxson was just a healthy little boy. He technically didn't have a seizure, but a Mayochlonic(sp) Jerking of muscles. This looks and seems exactly like a seizure but stems from the spinal cord rather than the brain, not causing any sort of damage at all.

Throughout the whole deal we only got picture of the EEG...so here they are. They make me sad to look at them and remember all of the stuff he had to experience at such a young age. After it all we are so grateful for the amazing child we have been blessed with to raise, and are so grateful that he ended up healthy and problem free.

We went in to the hospital at 7:30 the morning of my due date. We got all checked in and put in a room. Once all hooked up the doctor came in and informed me that I was dilated to a 3 and having contractions on my own, before they did anything. At about 9:30 he broke my water, and within an hour I was already having really hard contractions! I was at the point where tears would swell up in my eyes, so I asked the nurse if she could please check and see if I was at a 4 so I could have the epidural.....well I was already at a 7! She called the anesthesiologist in for the epidural, and he informed me that my scoliosis was so bad that it could take a while for him to get it all set and going. Well not too long later I was feeling great! No more pain!

I then was at the pushing point of the labor, and at 11:39am they laid my beautiful son in my arms! He was so cute, healthy, and finally in my arms! It was one of the greatest moments of my entire life. The love you feel for such a small person is unimaginable! We love him with our whole hearts, and think he is absolutely the cutest thing ever! This past weekend I had baby shower #2, in Evanston with all of Tyler's family. We of course were there early setting up, and my mother insisted on getting some chubby belly pictures of Amy and I. For those of you that don't know, Amy is my oldest sister, while I am the baby sister of the family. I don't think either one of us ever dreamed of being pregnant at the same time considering the age gap between us....but here we are preggers together! We are both having boys, although there is only one boy in my tummy, and she has 2! The sad part of the situation is.... I am only 4 weeks farther along than her with only 1 baby, and bigger than her! NO FAIR! My excuse is that she is much much taller than me! Anyways, here are the pictures.

Hair Cut!!

So I had quite an adventure today! I chopped my hair off! A whole 8 inches! I have never EVER cut my hair more than a few inches here and there, so this was a huge ordeal! I was so nervous I actually felt a little nauseous! But, in the end, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the change! It feels so healthy and light! I love it! Thanks Jessie! Here are some pics...not the greatest!

30 weeks and counting...

Today we had our 30 week ultrasound at the doctor. For reassurance, we saw that there was no mistake in his sex, he is 100% boy! He is still measuring very well in every aspect; limbs, head, belly, and heart! He also officially weighs a whole whopping 3lbs 4oz! The doctor told us he looks healthy and we could not be happier. He also told us that he is currently breech, so he has 6 weeks to get his little self all turned around before we worry!

It's been FOREVER since I last posted I thought I better update everybody on our lives. We both officially survived finals week, and both ended up with really great grades for the semester. After our classes were over we then headed to Lyman, our new home for the summer. We are living with my parents so that Tyler can work and actually make some money, and start really saving up some money in our savings account! The jobs in Laramie barely pay minimum wage! After we got ourselves all settled, and Ty started working, I found myself terribly bored!

I have done quite a bit of sewing, gone shopping, renewed my drivers license, and decided to spend some time outside in the sun on Monday. Well, the sun and I didn't really get along! I went out in my bathing suit, where nobody could see me, and laid my white body out. An hour later I thought to myself "People have told me to be careful in the sun while preggers, I really don't want to get fried." So after this thought I headed inside. Once inside I looked over myself and thought I did good, not fried, just a little bitty bit of red. I sat down, and about three hours later looked at my legs again...complete lobster. And as the night went on it only got redder. My legs, knees, and ankles swelled up so big that I literally could not even walk. This then posed a serious problem the next few day because I was subbing at the High School. I could not hardly even wear any clothing! So, I resorted to long comfy skirt every day! I was pretty much miserable each day at the school, and seriously don't know how I made it through!

On Wednesday Tyler and I headed back to Laramie for the weekend. Tyler was scheduled to take his MCAT, which is the medical entrance exam, Friday morning. He studied all day Thursday and woke up bright and early this morning to go take it. He is there right now! Hence the reason I am blogging! GOOD LUCK TYLER!! We hope he does extremely well so he can get in!

Also since the last time I posted, we had another doctor appointment. We switched doctors from our Laramie ones to Dr. Hansen in Evanston. I was a little nervous having to meet yet another doctor in this pregnancy, but it went really well. My sister-in-law went to him with some of her girls and really liked him, so I hoped i would too. I did! He was so different from the Laramie doctors who just rush you in and out and don't care about your questions or concerns. He answered every silly question I had with full explanation. The baby was measuring very well, and his heart beat was so strong! We also were told that we get to have another ultrasound at week 30, which is next week! YAY! I love ultrasounds, they are so amazing!

Also, so more big baby news, our little guy got hiccups for the first time last night! (well first that I have felt) It was so stinking cute! I loved it! He had them for what seemed like forever! Both Ty and I felt them, and it was amazing! I can't believe how much we love our little munchkin already! And we haven't even met him yet!

Double Digits!

We just wanted to update everybody, and let you know that we are officially in the double digits now until our baby boy comes! We are so excited and can't hardly believe we will be parents in 99 days! YIKES!

Also, Tylers little brother officially left the double digits of days he has been on his mission today! We are very excited about this as well, and so proud of him!

This weekend we shopped till we dropped! We traveled home on Thursday night and headed to Salt Lake on Friday and Saturday with my mom and dad to some needed baby shopping! Our major goal was to find a crib and find lots and lots of material for quilts! Well we found the perfect crib at the second store we went into, and it was the first crib I picked out! We also found a matching changing table/dresser to accompany it! We then headed back to Lyman on Saturday night, and had Easter at my parents house. They don't go to church until 1 o'clock so dinner didn't start until about 5 not putting us home till 10. Of course once we got home we couldn't just let the boxes with our beautiful crib and dresser in them sit there....so of course we got to work! We started at about 11 and it took us FOREVER!!! We finished and collapsed into bed around 2am.... But every minute we spent in the wee hours of the night was well worth it!

Also, last weekend my sister Steph and her family came to visit us in Laramie. Trying to get some good quality girl time, we talked the hubby's into watching her two kids, and headed off to get pedicures! It was absolutely amazing, and our toes were super cut

It's a BOY!!

We just got back from our big appointment this afternoon and there is no denying the little bitty parts we saw on the screen. Full fledged, 100% Boy parts! The first image the technician placed her little ultrasound tool on was the cute bottom of our sweet little boys bum with his legs spread as wide as can be...I instantly thought to myslef hmmm....that looks like something between those little legs. So I say to her "Is that what I think it is!?!" She quickly answered saying "Oh yes honey those are boy parts! No denying it!

She then explored some more around in there where we were informed our little man has very long fingers which were by his face the whole time, long legs with HUGE feet attached to the end, and a chubby little belly measuring a full week ahead of his age! Yep, he's already chubbyin his tummy!

We were also informed that our little guy is quite photo-genic! He keep squirming around and giving us a handsome profile pose, over and over and over! SO CUTE!

Overall, we are simply grateful that he is measuring well, moving lots, and growing growing growing healthy and strong! We are already so in love with the little fellow! Here are all out photos we got to come home with today!

I just had to post a picture of what a marvelous husband I have! He spoiled me this year! He let me sleep in till noon, then we got ready and he stashed flowers all over the house, along with a beautiful card and a Scentsy Candle Warmer! Then we headed out to Cheyenne, where we spent hours in the mall and Ross's and TJ Maxx! Then we ate at Olive Garden, yummmmmmy! And to top off the night, he encouraged some snuggles and a movie...TITANIC!! (Which he really does not like to watch!) All I can say is that I have the most amazing, wonderful, loving, caring, handsomest husband EVER!!

We have officially survived Christmas, the New Year, sending Ty's little brother off to his mission, and starting school back up! But throughout all this I did not take one picture! NOT ONE!! We got home and I nearly could not even believe it! So I thought I would just post some of my favorite pictures of when Ty was little, and some stuff from High school. Christmas Fun...

So I needed a break from all my finals this week, especially tonight so I thought I would do this little christmas thing!

*Wrapping Paper or Gift bags? I like wrapping paper for Christmas.

*Real tree or Artificial? Growing up we always had a fake tree, so I really would prefer fake! Easy, cleaner, and lasts longer!

*When do you put up the tree? As soon as possible after Thanksgiving!

*When do you take the tree down? Usually when we get back from our Christmas break! SO not till like the second week of January! lol

*Do you like eggnog? Yes but only if my daddy makes it!

*Favorite gift received as a child? Hmmm.... I always got awesome presents! Probably my favorite was my cool stereo with big speakers and the Spice Girls CD!

*Hardest person to buy for? My mom!

*Easiest person to buy for? Hmmm.... Tyler!!

With it being so close to Thanksgiving I have been feeling quite grateful for all we have in our lives. Lately, I have been especially grateful for the apartment we have here in Laramie. Taking into consideration that apartments in Laramie are super expensive and not very nice, we feel very blessed with our apartment. We are on HUD Housing which is income based, so we pay nearly nothing for rent, and its two levels, and just feels like home to us. We feel so blessed to live in this apartment, in this ward, and in our neighborhood! Here are some pics.... Hope you like!

Carving Pumpkins

Tyler and I decided that you are never too old to carve pumpkins so that is just what we did! We had a blast, and enjoyed having a few spare minutes away from homework! Ty's is some type of skull in a spider web, and mine a cutsie little goblin girl!

So yesterday, Tyler and I decided to go to Denver and go to the temple. We had a spectacular time, until about twenty miles outside of Laramie. I had just woken up, and looked over at the speedometer and thought to myself, "WOW Ty is only going like 50 in the interstate." So of course, I was annoyed, and told him to speed up! He looked back at me and said, "UUhhh I think we have a problem!"

Turns out the car just randomly died, would not start, and we had to call Jeani to come and get us. We had to tell her what mile marker we were at so we started walking! It was quite a sight! Tyler was in is tie and church slacks, while I was in a skirt and my highest high heels I own! (The reason I went is because I was too scared to stay in the car by myself!) We headed forward, and didn't realize until we were almost exactly one mile in front of the car that there was a mile marker right behind the car!!

So, after Jeani came and got us we went back to Laramie and bought a fuel filter, because we believed that we had received bad gas when we filled up at Loaf & Jug that morning. We then drove all the way back out to the car and put the part in. It didn't work. We came home, went to bed, and woke up at six o'clock and went back to tow the car. This was also quite the process, and now we still do not have a running car. Hopefully Tyler will be able to replace the fuel pump tomorrow and that is all that is the matter with it!

My suggestion to all of you:

DON'T BUY LOAF & JUG GAS!!!

Homecoming Visitors

This last week was Homecoming at UW, so of course we had some visitors for the big game. My mom and newphew Braydon came and joined in all the fun! Even though UW is not the greatest at the game of football, and we got our butts kicked!

For those of you have not seen us the past month, we have a new little addition... A new truck! Tyler had finally had it with both of us driving the same car, only different colors. And of course his hick side kicked in and he needed a truck. So, we bought one. It was a pretty big step for us, and has thoroughly pleased Tyler!
